I used the cricut cartridge FOREVER YOUNG.

INK: Close to cocoa (stampin up)

DASHER FOR THE TROOPS

A bunch of us at work are doing cards for the troops.   They will be signed and sent out by Friday 12/09/11.  This is through the American Red Cross.  I am pretty excited about this as it is a first time sending cards over to the troops.  I made them pretty simple since I was making a bunch of them.

SUPPLIES:

PAPER: was from my stash,  It has a marble effect if you look really close.  I used a vanilla and a gold.

STAMP: Stampin Up Dasher

MISC: Frame with oval shape, Big Shot, Stampin Up lattice emboss folder, Stampin Up gold emboss powder, versa-mark, heat gun, craft bond spray adhesive.

1. To create the oval in the center of the paper, you need to place the frame on the big shot platform not on the sandwich plate. put the paper in the embossing folder, then place it on top of the frame.  Now you put one sandwich plate on top of the folder and run it through the big shot.

2. Once the sheet is dry embossed, use the versa mark to stamp your image within the oval. Then emboss with the gold powder.

3. Spray the Craft Bond spray adhesive on the back of the image and attach within 15 seconds to your main card.  For the main card I used a yellow/gold and a vanilla color.

Please leave me a message letting me know what you think!

MDS BABY CARD

WOW!  It has been a really long time since I have blogged.  I was trying to assist a friend of mine in coming up with a baby card.  So, I thought I would share.  I created this on MDS, but the embelishments are ones that I have downloaded and can not remember which site I got them from.  I hope you enjoy! The card shows the front image and the inside image. Please leave me a note and let me know what you think.

MOTHERS DAY

I made a mothers day card for a friend of mine to send to her mom.
I cased this card from ZGRANDMA on SCS.
I really liked how it turned out and hope that her mom loves it just as much I do.
I was having a hard time with the paper flowers, so I used some of my prima flowers I had.

All supplies used are from Stampin Up unless noted.
Paper: very vanilla, yellow, glossy
Ink: gold/brown spray mist, melon mambo, yoyo yellow, only orange, glorious green
Misc: ribbon (my stash), flowers (prima), fire rhinestone brad, hodgepodge hardware

I misted the glossy cardstock with the gold/brown mist and set it aside to dry for a few minutes.
Then I used a sponge, dipped into my ink pads and swished and swiped it on the
glossy cardstock in random patterns.
