FRIENDSHIP

This was such a fun card to make. I cased this off an advertisement and I could just not pass it up to make one of my own. Both stamp sets that I used are retired, but you could use so many stamp sets and designer paper to make a wonderful card for all seasons and ocassions.

SUPPLIES:
STAMPS: merci, friendship shapes
PAPER: razzleberry lemonade, rich razzleberry, whisper white
INK: basic black , rich razzleberry, stampin write marker
MISC: ruler, paper trimmer, scallop edge punch, circle punch, snail adhesive

MOJO MONDAY 071309

Today I did my very first MOJO MONDAY sketch. I took the color design from a fellow SU demo that was wearing an awesome shirt. The colors on the shirt were actually barely banana, sahara sand, certainly celery, and baja breeze, (at least this is what we came up with). It had a real simple flower design, but I decided to use MERCI (retired) instead. I hope you enjoy!

SUPPLIES:
PAPER: whisper white, old olive, crushed curry, chocolate chip
INK: craft white, soft suede, crushed curry, baja breeze (retired in-color), kiwi kiss (retired in-color)
STAMP SET: merci (retired)
MISC: versa-mark stamp pad, white embossing powder, heat gun, paper cutter, pop dots, barely banana grosgrain ribbon 5/8" (bundle special no longer available), sponges, key tag punch (retired)

1. sponge the colors onto whisper white card stock
2. stamp the image into the versa-mark pad and put on the sponged card stock
3. emboss with white embossing powder, I did not brush all the extra powder off, I wanted to add a little extra bling to it
4. stamp the image (MERCI) on a seperate piece of whisper white and used the key tag punch to punch out
5. sponged old olive around the edges
6. cut a piece of old olive and attached to a piece of crushed curry
7. attach ribbon to a piece of chocolate chip paper
8. assemble the card, I used pop dots to pop up the chocolate chip paper with the ribbon

MANHATTAN MERCI

Here is another brayer technique that I had to try out. I loved how this turned out using some of the new DP as well.

SUPPLIES:
PAPER: vellum, whisper white, razzleberry lemonade
INK: pink passion
STAMPS: merci
MISC: brayer, big shot, manhattan flower textured impressions embossing folder, paper cutter
TECHNIQUE: brayer on vellum

1. put vellum in the manhattan flower folder and sent it through the big shot
2. turned the vellum over and brayered on pink passion, put it on lighter in some areas and darker in others. just need to play with it to get the look that you want
3. cut out the flower just around the edge of the vellum
4. attached to whisper white and then cut down to 3 1/2" x 4 7/8"
5. stamped the merci and heart on the white
6. attached to razzleberry lemonade paper 4" x 5 1/4"
7. attached onto whisper white 4 1/4" x 11"
8. on the inside, i used the butterfly and heart again
