MOTHERS DAY

I made a mothers day card for a friend of mine to send to her mom.
I cased this card from ZGRANDMA on SCS.
I really liked how it turned out and hope that her mom loves it just as much I do.
I was having a hard time with the paper flowers, so I used some of my prima flowers I had.

All supplies used are from Stampin Up unless noted.
Paper: very vanilla, yellow, glossy
Ink: gold/brown spray mist, melon mambo, yoyo yellow, only orange, glorious green
Misc: ribbon (my stash), flowers (prima), fire rhinestone brad, hodgepodge hardware

I misted the glossy cardstock with the gold/brown mist and set it aside to dry for a few minutes.
Then I used a sponge, dipped into my ink pads and swished and swiped it on the
glossy cardstock in random patterns.

FLOWER POWER

I wanted to play again with changing a color photo to black & white and then bringing back a touch of color.  Again I used the Corel  Draw program.
This time I used a picture that my sister-in-law took.  I hope you enjoy this one.
Praise god and Happy Easter to everyone.

Original photo that is gorgeous to begin with.

The after effect with just the yellow.

COREL PAINTSHOP PHOTO PRO X3

I learned something new with my Corel program.  I have had it for a while and just keep learning a little bit and then I use it and then I go back to learn some more.  Today I learned how to take a color photo, change it to black and white and then add a touch of color back in.  I found a picture on a blog that I really liked for a kitchen and what I want my kitchen to look like. I hope you enjoy this and if you are looking for a great photo editing software, I would so suggest this program.

Happy Easter

I wanted to try the technique called Bum pain background found on the videos on My Digital Studio.  I was just playing around and wanted to try the circle instead of the square as I wanted hills.  So I was just going through the downloads and decided on a few from my Easter section.  I hope you enjoy!

MONSTER HIGH

My daughter Kaley had a birthday party to attend today.  We went shopping and one of the things we got for her friend was this MONSTER HIGH purse.  So when we got home, I made the card to go with the purse using the Stampin Up set JUST JAWING.  I made some alterations, but tried to make it as close to the purse as possible.  I took the pictures (see below), and there was a ton of items in the background, so I was playing with my COREL system and managed to come up with the layout below using my MDS and some fun fonts I downloaded. I hope you enjoy!

SUPPLIES:
STAMPS: just jawing
PAPER: bright pink, whisper white
INK: black stazon, basic black stampin write marker
Misc: black embossing powder, ribbon and rhinestones from stash

The kids love all holidays.  They had received a flag and was showing their AMERICAN pride.  It all goes together so great.  Zakary is wearing a shirt with an american skateboard, Brennan has his daddy's shirt with a Bald eagle on it and Kaley is holding the OREOS they are eating!
